THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This Medical Education & Marketing Administration role provides specialised support in all aspects of medical education, event, sponsorship, and meeting management. In support of the commercial team, this position will contribute directly to the execution of the Australian medical education program and will support the Product Management team by project managing the delivery of all major events and programs including medical education roadshows, national conferences, and other large scale internal and external meetings. The role will provide specialised advice and input to stakeholders for all medical education and third-party events and sponsorship-related activities to ensure they fully meet company and MTAA compliance requirements. You will ensure all events receive compliance approval prior to being held and you will function as a communication conduit between the company and the international medical education team. You will source and negotiate pricing with external service and product providers to fulfil event and medical education requirements and manage and coordinate internal events for senior management, including quarterly business reviews, locally and regionally. You will coordinate the attendance of all Australian participants in international medical education, marketing, and sales events, including assistance with travel arrangements and liaise with third-party conference organisers regarding all aspects of event and conference attendance, including booth booking, registration, accommodation, and furniture. You will manage the relationship with MTAA for annual medical education reporting. You will champion internal employee communications to drive employee engagement and act as the central contact for news, including posting of local content. You will manage allocated budgets and diligently implement cost-saving measures across all event services and provide support to the Managing Director as required. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO GET THE JOB Strong written and verbal English communication skills with experience in a similar role. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities with superior organisational ability. Methodical, detail-focused yet flexible approach to work, team-oriented and highly collaborative. Ability to manage budgets and negotiate with suppliers. Medical devices industry knowledge is preferred with appreciation of the professional sensitivities involved in working with orthopaedic surgeons, including an understanding of their work commitments. Ideally, university qualifications in marketing, event management, or a similar field. You must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and have full working rights for Australia.
